WATERFRONT SAFETY POLICIES
Swimming and boating are permitted only when
waterfront staff is on duty and according to the following safety factors:
GENERAL BEACH RULES
·
Swimming is permitted only at assigned beaches in the areas
roped off by the lines.
·
Adults and/or counselors must accompany young children.
·
Only certified Personal Flotation Devices are to be used for
swimming assistance in swimming areas.
·
No pushing or other hazardous behavior.
·
Always swim with a buddy.
·
The waterfront staff is NOT responsible for valuables.
- In case of thunder or
lightning ALL swimmers and small craft operators must leave the water
immediately.

Glass bottles are not allowed at the beaches.
- Seat belts or ties
should be removed from all persons in wheelchairs while near the lake or
in small craft.
- Everyone is
responsible for helping to keep the beaches clean. Please use
waste or butt containers.
- Only competent
swimmers will be permitted to swim in deep water and only at the
discretion of the lifeguard.

Lifeguard’s interpretation of the rules is final.
SMALL CRAFT PROCEDURES
·
Everyone must wear life jackets when using center small craft.
- All children under 12
must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or over in rowboats and canoes.
- A
maximum of three persons to a canoe and four persons to a rowboat will
be permitted.

All center small craft must stay within the three islands and
between Lake View Lodge and the “Lone Pine Rock” and must stay outside all
swimming areas.
·
The islands are private property – please stay off them.
- If
your small craft should capsize, remain with the boat and call for help.

Personal boat owners will need to speak with a lifeguard or at the
office to clear mooring, boating waiver and expectations.

Motor operated craft and their skiers must be operated at least 150 feet
from all swimming areas.
